Discount and Commission Analysis

This report can be run from within Agents/Marketing, OR from within Reporting (see above).

It is a report based on Date Booked or Production values, broken down by Tuition, Accommodation, Transfers and Sundries; showing discount and commission by country and agent, or Enrolment Analysis Fields.

Statistic Type
Booking (based on date booked) or Production (based on spreading values over the duration of the enrolment).

From and To dates.
Select the date range. Valid dates must be entered.
The standard calendar function is available.

Based On
Agent Country or Student Country - direct students use the student country even when analysing by agent country.
Enrolment Analysis - used with the Analysis filters.

Currency
Select from any currency set up in the system settings.
This will default to the system base currency.

Exchange Rate
This defaults to the exchange rate held in system settings for the currency chosen.
The user may amend this rate.

Base Agent On
It is recommended that the "Commission" Agent is selected.
This ensures direct bookings involving an agent (Commission Agent) are shown against the commercial agent, not the "direct" agent.

Sub Totals
If selected, sub totals will be produced for each country or Enrolment Analysis item.

Analysis Filter
Agent/Enrolment filters may be selected.
Select which categories are required (Tuition, Accommodation etc)

Output
Please note the "number" of counts are record counts, and do not necessarily represent student or enrolment counts and will not reconcile to any other counts of students or enrolments in other reports.

Example:

General Information on statistical values:

The key values Class will only accurately report on is:

Student Weeks and Values
These 2 variables have a clear meaning and definition and will in the main not change, even if admin procedures differ from school to school.

Other values:

Student Counts and Enrolment Counts
These variables can be misleading and confusing depending on how Class is operated.
Results can vary depending on time ranges, selection criteria, and the impact of cancellations.
For this reason, these 2 values are not recommended for statistical reporting, but are displayed only for historical continuity.

Enrolment Counts
If required, can be obtained from the "Statistics Generator" (Enrolment Bookings).

Other place where "counts", "numbers" etc are indicated are purely computer counts and may not necessarily reconcile with any other figures.
