Visa Types

Visa types can be set for each country where users wish to make use of the system.
The list is in "Code" sequence to allow the codes to be manipulated according to the sequence required.



Note: the "Not Required" type cannot be deleted but the name can be changed (for other languages).

General

Names
Visa name

Code
Visa code - change to enable correct sequence in browse/pick screens

Active
Indicates if the visa is in use.
Set to inactive when no longer required.

Category
Will default to "All Categories" unless you specify otherwise

Currency
Enter the currency of the issuing visa country

Mandatory On Arrival
If set, the system will want (entry to enrolment and enrolment browse screen) if after arrival the "Visa Start Date" has not been entered

Grace Period Days
The above mandatory warning will continue until the expiry of the grace period, then the enrolment will be locked and no changes permitted until the Visa Start Date has been entered

Sponsorship Number Required
Yes or no

Sponsorship Number Caption
Eg. for the UK, enter CAS

Passport Details Required
Yes or no.
If yes, the system will check and prompt for passport details when adding a student's enrolment.

Age Range (On Arrival)
Visa types outside the age range will not be displayed during enrolment entry.

Force Absence Checking
If set, students will be listed for absence entry

Absence Warning Dates
Eg. 10 days, will act as a default when running absence reports.
Schools entering absence also for welfare purposes may wish to set a lower value of eg. 3

Notes
Notes (useful information for registrars) may be entered and made to "pop up" when the visa type is selected during enrolment.

Pop Up Notes (in Enrolment)
Yes or no.
If set to yes, the above notes will be displayed when the visa type is selected during enrolment.

Schools

Select the schools relevant for this Visa type

Passport Countries

Select the passport countries to be included.
EU is a broad category and can include other European groupings, eg. EEA, but should represent the European countries that are generally Visa exempt.
